It is a lovely place and we get the rest, we both needed.
We make breakfast in the room.
‘Barrels’ is attached to Kratzplatz and is probably the best restaurant in town. We have had Eisbein there already.
Next to breakfast and supper (2 meals a day), we are often allowing ourselves 6 oysters each around 11 o’clock with a glass of dry white wine. The price is very reasonable ... 12 oysters, two glasses of prima white wine and two slices of bread with butter amounts to a total of 200 Nam$ = roughly 15 € or 100 DKK.
Our favorite oyster bar at the harbour has closed. Now we go to Diaz just around the corner.
Excellent fresh oysters with a slice of brown bread and butter.
Morning walk to the Harbour.
Or to the ‘Nest Hotel’ at the first lagoon.
View from Nest Hotel on Felsenkirche.
We climbed all the way up to Felsenkirche before supper at Diaz, which is so good with oysters. We will never go back there for supper. Never !
Today the wind force is 50 km/hrs from the South bringing so much sand and dust, that one can hardly see the Harbour. It makes walking in town disagreable and we stay home until supper at ‘Barrels’.
Tomorrow it should be over and after meeting with Mr Erich and his wife at 10 am, we will drive to Agathe Beach and have a walk on Nautilus Hill. Sunday should be quiet, too, and then the wind will pick up on Monday.
We met Mr Erich this morning on the way to oysters at ‘Diaz’. He has a house or two to rent on long term basis. We will see, what he can offer.
Yes, the wind is strong today, but the temperature is very agreable, around 26C, and the humidity only 46%. Perfect for rheumatisme and arthritis.
